Brett’s Murray River Source to Sea

Brett is a man that does not fear making his dreams come true. He is about two thirds through a source to sea expedition of the Murray River, Australia. It is Australia’s longest river with a distance of 2,995 kilometers. Brett is self sufficient, except for the odd refreshment at a riverside cafe. Oh, and he’s doing the trip solo!

In his own words:

It has been a dream for much of my life to embark on a trip of a lifetime whether it be mountain biking accross Australia or kayaking one of its big rivers. I decided this year that it will be kayaking the length of the River Murray from source (Below the white water at Biggara, foot of the Snowies in Vic) to Goolwa (River Murray Mouth) and then if I still have time; continue around the Fleurieu Peninsula all the way home to Adelaide.I have set aside 3 months to complete this (big thanks to a flexible and understanding employer) starting from April 2013. I recently purchased a 2nd hand 5.3m Q Kayaks Tasman Express to complete the journey.
