Metamorphosis – The Beginning

Meet Sheena O’Connell: South African lass with an Irish name, and a never ending desire for adventure!

The Trailblazerguide will be following her transformation from rock climber to white water kayaker over this December. We started off with a pool session at Tranquilitas Adventure Farm – close to Sheena’s favorite climbing crags.

We will be documenting Sheena’s progress for the month with regular posts, and will start releasing video episodes early 2014 on our vimeo page – go there and click follow to make sure you don’t miss it!

In the swimming pool at Tranquilitas camping grounds Sheena practiced strokes (forward, backward, front sweep, rear sweep, draws), high braces, low braces, ten million versions of hip flicks, swimming, popping decks and the C to C roll.
