Metamorphosis – The Vaal. Day 3&4

After two days of pool sessions in the pool at Tranquilitas, Waterval Boven, Sheena headed off to the Free State Town of Parys to get some action in the Vaal river in her quest to learn how to kayak.

First we went to the Fluid factory, to say howzit to South Africa’s prime kayak manufacturer, where marketing Jedi Johann Swart took us for a tour.

Next she paid a visit to Daniel Barnard who graciously lent her a dry top and some other gear to ease the transition into the world of white water kayaking.
